Acousicophilia

Sexual stimulation or arousal from sounds including music, songs, verbal abuse , foreign languages, screaming, panting, moaning, groaning, sighing, heavy-breathing , and sounds produced by people during sexual-congress . A movie example is Jamie Lee Curtis who gets sexually aroused in A Fish Called Wanda (1988) when Kevin Kline speaks Italian and when John Cleese speaks Russian .
Quote: Felding Mellish (Woody Allen) making-love with Nancy (Louise Lasser) in Bananas (1971):
– Felding: ’ I love you! I love you!’
– Nancy: ’ Oh say it in French! Please say it in French!’
– Felding: ’ I don’t know French .’
– Nancy: ’ Oh, please! Please! ’
– Felding: ’ What about Hebrew? ’
– Nancy: ’ OHHhh ’.

Acousticophilia refers to sexual arousal, sexual urges, and preferences for certain sounds. The condition involves symptoms that can include an abnormal amount of time spent thinking about certain sounds, fantasies involving certain sounds, or a sexual preference for certain sounds.

Acousicophilia differs from melolagnia, a sexual arousal from music, in that acousticophilia can involve any type of sound, not just music. Acousticophilia can be damaging to an individual if a common noise is one that triggers sexual arousal. For some, the preference can be so strong that climax is not possible without the presence of the certain sound.
